Growing up on the North Shore of Oahu, Amber Alvarez always dreamt of moving to New York City to become an animator and illustrator. The second she was old enough she packed her bags and headed off for the big city. After four years of nominal bits of sleep, massive amounts of stress and tiny moments of genius she received her BFA from the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York's Clinton Hill.

Amber has been creating fun and exciting characters in her Brooklyn art studio for eight years now. She has had the sublime opportunity to work for great animation houses as a designer for animation and as an illustrator. Her work has even been nominated for an Emmy!

Her energetic and blythe art is fueled by her childhood in the tropics, her travels abroad and her beautiful Brooklyn.

Some of her dreams have changed...she now dreams of moving to Hawaii.
Her life is bliss and she remains an ever thankful and very happy artist.
